Does VEX actually send the emails and have control over lists?
NO. Think of VEX like a Match.com. What we do is simply bring two parties together. All details regarding what is sent, policies etc. are your business and should be worked out between you and the member that you are collaborating with.
Will anyone have access to my database?
ABSOLUTELY NOT. Exchanging visibility with another member is simply extending someone the opportunity to advertise to your list, and in exchange, they offer you the opportunity for equal exposure to theirs. At NO TIME would anyone, including VEX, have access to your list. Everything goes directly through you.
Who sees my registration information?
Aside from your name and location, the information that you provided regarding your company’s database is only visible to VEX and the members of your group whom you have identified as friends. Only VEX can view the links to your media kit/advertising information or the analytics that you have submitted from your email service provider.
Is VEX a Co-reg site?
Short answer - No
Why does VEX require a link to my media kit or analytics?
As part of the registration process, each member is required to provide a link to either their media kit/advertising information, or the analytics from their email service provider - See Example. VEX requires this information in order to verify the size of a perspective member’s list. Once we have deemed the information to be accurate, membership to VEX is granted. In addition, the data also helps VEX to determine if the member is qualified to join a particular group.
How big does my email list need to be in order to join a VEX Group?
Membership is open to any company regardless of list size, however you must be approved and meet the groups minimum requirments to join. If you have a small list (Less than 10,000 subscribers) Click Here.
Will my information be provided or sold to third-parties?
ABSOLUTELY NOT. VEX respects the privacy of all members. At no time will the information that you provide to VEX be given away, rented or sold to a third-party.
What if another member doesn’t hold up their end of the deal?
Although VEX takes measures to ensure the validity of each member’s claims regarding the scope of their audience, we cannot speak to their character. Our advice to you is – Do Your Due Diligence. Take it upon yourself to research a potential partner and take measures to ensure that you receive full value.
Can I structure relationships/deals with members of my group if they are outside of my niche?
YES. Once you have been accepted as a member of a group you can wheel and deal with members both inside and outside of your niche, thereby expanding the opportunity to gain massive exposure.
What do you mean by "Exchanging Visibility Without Money Changing Hands?"
Members of VEX understand that this site isn’t about money, it’s about leveraging resources. Therefore, when arrangements have been made between two members to exchange visibility, the exchange of money between parties should not be a part of the equation. Please keep in mind that VEX is intended to be a meeting place where “like-minded” professionals can get together to exchange visibility without having to tap into their marketing budget.
In the event that a member requests payment for their services or for exposure to their list as part of the “deal”, we at VEX strongly request to be notified. This action may be cause for expulsion from the community.
